From the Studio…hello, August!

I think I'm finally getting back into the swing of things…which is probably good considering we've been home for a week and I'll be heading out to California again five weeks from today.

*sigh*

I've got a so much to get done between now and then, including getting two weeks ahead on my eBay listings.  I think the stash-building will have to wait school starts in a few weeks, but I'm excited to share sneak peeks of this week's listings.    This is the first year that I gave myself a vacation from listing – and I'm so glad I did.

Edited to add: links are up!

Back to School Final

Back to School – I adore this layout.  I really do.  All of the piecings are cut by hand and, while I don't like it when my Cricut won't cooperate, I do love the more personal result it gives the piecings.

On the Road Final
On the Road –  another one I'm really fond of…maybe because it reminds me a bit of heading up to my grandparents cabin as a kid.  I also like the funky, triangle trees.  The sun wasn't quite working with me yesterday, and the photos all turned out a bit dark in the corners, but still…this layout makes me smile.

Spooktacular Final
Spooktacular - Fall and Halloween layouts tend to be some of my favorite to create (I think it's the colors…or maybe the fact that I enjoy Fall vicariously through my layouts).  I'm so happy with this one.

Summer Lovin Final
Summer Lovin' –  another favorite (okay, I think this week's layouts are all favorites!).  I've always stayed away from kids (as opposed to critters), but I'm pleased with these.   And the Echo Park paper?  I am completely in love…so much so that after I picked up the last few sheets they had at Pocketful of Treasures in Clovis, I had to order all of the sets from Two Peas

SS Just Plane Fun
Just Plane Fun – only one new set this week.  I'm hoping to focus more on these and borders, but this week I just had to get those layouts out of my system first.

From the Studio…May 11, 2010

Another week of busy creating.  I am at that time of year that I need to start stockpiling for my month-long trip to stay with family in California, but I'm just not there yet.  Last year, I listed lots of individual piecings while I was traveling and that worked quite well so I think I'll do that again this year (plus I'll have time on the train to chalk and ink!).

A few new listings for this week:

Boy World Final

Out of this World – I always love space themed layouts, and this one is no exception.   I've got plans for a girlier version of this one later in the week.

Cherry Final

You are the Cherry on Top! – Love this one, but it sure didn't want to have it's picture taken.  Each of the cherries is hand-chalked and I think that whipped cream looks good enough to eat!

Disney Day Final

Our Perfect Disney Day – I get lots of requests for Disney layouts, and I love how this one turned out.  The colors and swirls are perfect!

Say Cheese Final

Say Cheese – mice on layouts?  Totally cute.  Mice anywhere else?  Not so much!  Perfect for those cute extra cheesy smiles.

Wild Boy Final
Wild About You! –  Love this one, probably because the monsters have a bit of a Muppet feel to me.  Like the Out of this World layout above, I have a girl version of this one ready to list in a few days.

I've got another 7 layouts planned for this week – and I'm crossing my fingers I can get them all done!

Patterns are by Treasure Box Designs and Myscrapchick.

From the studio…

In August, I'll celebrate my fifth year of creating and selling my layouts on eBay…crazy!

I think in that time, I've created over one thousand layouts to list.

Can I say crazy again or is it too soon?

I'm going to try to start posting the layouts here each week for my own record and to show them off a bit.  I have several year's worth on the computer, but not all of them.

These will all be closing Thursday afternoon and evening, and can be seen in more detail on eBay by clicking here.

 Beach Babes Final

Beach Babes – love this one!  That pink/orange/red/yellow color combo is one of my favorites for summer layouts.

Clownin' FInal
Can I make a confession?  I'm terrified of clowns!  There is nothing funny or silly or amusing about them…but this layout?  I like it.  My goal in creating layouts has always been to design layouts that are cute, but aren't so cute or involved that they steal the focus from the photos and memories.  I think this layout meets that goal.

Family Matters Final

Love this one.  That Basic Grey paper, the black and white gingham, the cute bears…I love creating sort of general family focused layouts like this one.

Makin a Splash FInal

How much do I live this one?

Ummm…. a lot =)

I was so excited to find a collection of KI Classics at Michael's last week.  KI has been a longtime love of mine when it comes to scrapbook supplies and these older lines are wonderful.  Perfect for setting off an underwater scene.

What A Catch Final
Fishing…with all the time Tom and Caleb have spent fishing the last few weeks, this one was a given.  Love this one – again, it's simple and cute and won't overwhelm your photos.

Side note: I wish I could take credit for the darling critters on these layouts, but the patterns are by Treasure Box Designs.  Aren't they darling!  I cut them out on cardstock, ink, chalk, put them together and add details.   I think they're about as cute as can be!

*something to crow about*

It's been a while since I've shared new eBay listings.  I always feel weird about self-promotion of any sort, but I get requests to see what I'm doing once in a while and decided to share today…

Crow Final

I love this one.  I'm always a sucker for  a tongue in cheek title =)

Pumpkin Bears Final

I seem to do a dozen layouts similar to this one every Fall, and I enjoy them all.

Halloween Fun Final

This one just makes me smile – the silly cats, the swirls, the BasicGrey papers, the black and white gingham ribbon…so many of my favorite things!

Fallin Border Final

I adore these new bears in the Harvest Helpers set from myscrapchick.

And while you're over there, check out this amazing set – I have so many ideas for treat bags, gift baskets, cards…I just need some time!

Too Cute Border Final

Another favorite!

Boo Title

And a sweet little title.  Sometimes I think these little titles are my favorite items to create…they add that perfect little touch to a layout.

You can see everything I have listed this week by clicking right here: Stickergirlstudios.

Just a disclaimer: all piecings are the creations of myscrapchick.  I have been honored to be part of their design team for the last year and absolutely love their products!  I look forward to many more fun creations with them =)
